The purpose of the Rodriguez High School PTSO is:
- to promote the welfare of the RHS students in home, school and community.
- to bring closer the relationship between home and RHS so that parents/guardians, teachers, staff members and students may cooperate intelligently in the preparation of our children/students to be productive workers, life-long learners and responsible citizens.
Some of the extraordinary programs and events the PTSO facilitates are Scholarships, Grad Nite, Classroom Enrichments, Staff Functions and Volunteer Opportunities.
Contrary to popular beliefs the PTSO is not just about Grad Nite. Grad Nite is just one event that the PTSO sponsors. Each year a new Grad Nite committee is formed and it makes this exceptional event come to life.
Please consider joining the Rodriguez PTSO. Your membership donation and support help us fund scholarships, social and school events that our students and teachers greatly appreciate. The completed membership form and donation can either be mailed into the school or dropped off in the school office. We need more members to continue and expand on the work that our organization provides your students and teachers. Thank you.
The annual membership for our PTSO is $10 per school year, per family. Parents and Students are welcome. Funding from membership dues are an important part of the PTSO; they are used for our annual operational costs, our scholarship program, staff appreciation and student enrichment events. Membership dues are never used for our Sober Grad Nite event.
Joining the PTSO is simple!! Just complete the membership form and return it with your payment of $10 per family paid by cash or check payable to RHS PTSO, by either of the following means:
- PTSO drop box in the school’s main office.
- Attend one of our meetings, typically held at 6:30 pm the second week of every month, in the teachers’ lounge (see the calendar for the next scheduled meeting).
If you prefer to pay by credit card through our secure account at PayPal and email your form to Secretary@RodriguezPTSO.org, use the link below. The total of $10.61 includes $0.61 to cover the PayPal convenience fees. NOTE: You do not have to join PayPal in order to make a payment.
The PTSO meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm, in the Rodriguez High School teachers’ lounge, which is located at the front of the school; it is the third door to the left of the double glass doors that enter the main office - the door remains open until 6:40 and then we close it. Please come on in even if the meeting is underway, you are always welcome.
Meetings are generally about 40 to 50 minutes long. The agenda always allows time at the end for questions and open discussions. To request official time on the agenda, please contact the PTSO President at President@RodriguezPTSO.org.
